I'm pretty sure that the mods are expecting said thread and this may be a case where they look the other way for a day as long as this doesn't turn into a flamefest. I give the thread 1 page though.
Taking bets.

Originally by: Slade Since I was not clear. I was speaking of his abilities to speak with emotion. This has nothing to do with what he will do in the future.
When I spoke of JFK, I was being quick in my description. I meant it as it has to do with how he inflects his voice, how and when he pauses, his very smooth use of the spoken word. In those ways I thought he is similar to JFK, then agin I do not personally remember JFK, I only have footage of him speaking to go on. Somewhat idealistic, but I was not speaking of him equaling JFK on his effect on the people of the US, in terms of the civil rights movement and other aspects of his political carrier. We all know that charisma can be the tool of evil as well as good.
What he will do and be has yet to be determined.

I had to drag this snippet over to this thread since the other got mitnalized just as I went to post.
Just wanted to mention that my mother has a old chest out in the garage that is loaded with every newspaper, article, picture, and anything else she could her hands on that had anything to do with JFK from his inauguration to his assassination. I have spent weeks digging through all of that and I still hold to the belief that if he had been given a chance things in today world would be vastly different (an argument I've held with a history teacher many times because he held different views of JFK). I just wish that Conspiracy Theorists would stop muddying his name.
As for Mr. Obama I didn't vote for him, and while I don't care for some of his policies, I do believe that he'll be able to put this train wreck back on track and I'll support him in that sense. My main issue though is that too many people are thinking TOO highly of him, almost in the sense that he's the next prophet, and I fear that way of thinking may backfire one day. The man's got a full plate and he's going to need every minute of every day for the first 2 years at least to finish it and some may not have the patience to see it through.
